Excerpts from this week's Message:

"Going Deeper"
by Apostle Stephen De Souza

Psalm 42:7 Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.

God is calling us from the depths of His heart to go deeper in our relationship with Him. Jesus had different levels of relationship with the people that he interacted with.

First of all there was the crowd. They were there for what they could get from him - bread & fish, healing, miracles etc. Many people are connecting to Jesus and church because of what they are hoping to get.

Secondly, there was the seventy. They had a closer relationship with Jesus than the crowd for he was able to use them to preach the gospel of the kingdom throughout Israel.

Then there was the twelve disciples. They were closer to Jesus than the crowd and the seventy. He trained and mentored them so that they would continue the mission of reaching the world, after he is gone, with the gospel.

Fourthly, there was the three, Peter, James and John. They were closer to Jesus than the other members of the twelve. They were allowed to accompany Jesus to places that he never took the others.

Finally, there was the one, John, the disciple that leaned on Jesus' breast. He was closer to Jesus than the rest.

Notice the numbers decreased the closer one got to Jesus. The Lord wants all of us to be very close to him but it is dependent on you. God will take you as deep as you want to go with Him. Deep is calling unto deep.
